What You’ll Do

We are growing our marketing team! As a Senior Events Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of events. This role requires a seasoned events professional with a strategic mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful and memorable events that align with Tekmetric's brand and business objectives. This role will report to the Senior Director of Demand Generation. 

  • Lead strategic event planning. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define event objectives, target audience, and success metrics. Conduct thorough research to stay abreast of industry trends and innovative event concepts.
  • Manage tradeshow execution. Lead the planning, coordination, documentation, enablement and execution. Oversee booth selection, logistics, activations, and other event-related details. Identify and secure event sponsorships.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of field events, ensuring all aspects are seamlessly integrated. Oversee venue selection, logistics, catering, audio-visual requirements, and other event-related details.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Provide comprehensive post-event reports, analyzing key metrics and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, customer care, sales development and operations, to ensure alignment and successful event outcomes.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners to negotiate contracts, maximize opportunities, and ensure successful collaborations.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with events and develop contingency plans. Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for event quality and attendee satisfaction. Conduct post-event evaluations and analyze feedback to continually improve future events.
  • Develop detailed event timelines and project plans, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule. Monitor progress against timelines and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events, drive attendance, and engage target audiences through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Comfortable using data to inform your event strategy with the ability to determine the success or failure of an initiative based on what the data says, and how to communicate that insight to leadership.
  • Self-starter attitude with a bias for action and ownership — comfortable navigating ambiguity and ability to create structure and process in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supervise and mentor one direct report, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure their professional growth and successful event execution.

This list of duties is not exhaustive. This position will be instrumental in supporting the Demand Gen and Marketing teams and will be expected to assist in any capacity needed to achieve individual, team, and company goals and initiatives. 

 

What You’ll Bring

You are a go getter, and enjoy a fast-paced, agile environment, tolerating ambiguities and resolving them as appropriate. You have experience executing marketing tactics that drive qualified leads. You have an eye for creativity and a passion for continuous learning. You have strong organizational and project management skills.

  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in the technology or software industry, with a track record of planning and executing successful events. Automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple quickly evolving projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence a variety of internal and external partners.
  • Proven experience in planning and managing a variety of events.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Excel in Google sheets and HubSpot or other CRM (reporting is a plus)
  • Ability to travel as needed
