Do you have a passion for social media and influencer marketing? We are searching for an ambitious intern who excels in all things internet and will help support our Campaign Management teams efforts in a fast-moving environment.

As an intern, you will have a hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of campaign execution, get an in-depth understanding of the influencer marketing landscape and get cross departmental exposure with the Paid Media, Strategy, Influencer Partnership, and Operations teams.

Internship Details:

We’re looking for undergraduate juniors & seniors or graduate-level students who are interested in a remote internship this Spring. Best fits are those majoring in or have experience in the following areas: Marketing, Social Media, Emerging Media, Public Relations, Advertising or Communications.  

• Currently recruiting for Spring 2024 (January - April)
• All IZEA internships are for-credit-only arrangements; proof of credit through an accredited university will be required upon acceptance
• Must have working equipment such as a PC or a laptop with a stable internet connection to carry out the necessary tasks for this internship
• NDA paperwork will need to be signed by students upon acceptance
• Must be able to work at least 15-20 hours per week

IZEA Provides:

• Relevant work assignments (individual and group) across the IZEA Organization
• Hands-on experience assisting the campaign management team on campaign execution
• Dedicated personnel for intern support 
• Mid-term & final assessments of individual intern performance 
• Various professional development sessions led by experienced team members and members of IZEA’s Senior Leadership team.

As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will gain experience with:

• Researching, vetting and building comprehensive lists of influencers for various client campaigns
• Assistance in campaign execution, as well as research on all things digital, social, content and influencer!
• Working within IZEA’s proprietary Flex platform to build out campaign opportunities and download submitted content and analytics from campaigns 
• Helping to develop and pull campaign analysis for campaign wrap reports
• Exposure to various internal strategy and planning meetings, as well as opportunities to shadow and listen in on client and partner meetings.

You will also learn about:

• Emerging social platforms, social and marketing trends
• Campaign management and strategy
• How to communicate within a professional environment and think critically about bigger marketing objectives
• The basics of influencer marketing– from researching to outreach tactics and tracking post-campaign analytics
• Exposure to cross-functional teams: operations, strategy, influencer partnerships, paid media, marketing & more

Desired Qualifications:

• A current undergraduate or graduate student with experience (0-2 years) and interest in marketing or advertising
• Knowledge of digital and social media landscape
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
• Self-motivated and focused while working independently due to the virtual nature of this internship
• Team player: You understand the importance of working not only on your own but also as a part of the larger team. You’re a clear communicator and are on top of your deadlines
• Basic understanding of Data Driven Marketing

Requirements:

• Candidates must be available for an internship that will run from January 2024 - April 2024
• Candidates must be comfortable working remotely
• Candidates must be available for 15-20 hours per week
• Candidates must receive academic credit for the internship
