About the Role

As the Head of Partnerships, you will play a crucial role in driving Sardine's growth and success by negotiating and executing business, product, and marketing aspects of partner deals. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of partnerships, including sourcing, negotiating, launching, and maintaining new and existing partnerships. Additionally, you will serve as the primary representative of Sardine's interests with partners while advocating for partners' interests within Sardine. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, sales, and legal, you will ensure that Sardine has the right partnerships in place to achieve its mission of making payments safer and faster.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key partners, driving product innovation and maximizing the value derived from partnerships.

  • Lead the negotiation of major commercial agreements, overseeing the entire deal process from partner identification to closing and partnership launch.

  • Ensure Sardine has best-in-class economics with our partners and the optimal structures in place to facilitate rapid product development

  • Identify and establish relationships with new partners, developing processes to assess their suitability and aligning their offerings with Sardine's needs.

  • Provide guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders on the best approaches to product development and stay informed about industry best practices.

 

An ideal candidate has

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Partnership Management

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, enabling you to identify and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Deep understanding of technology and user needs in the Fraud and Payments landscape across multiple products and geographies.

  • Proven track record of driving, closing, and managing complex financial technology partnership deals, delivering long-term value to the organization.

  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative product partnership ideas contributing to scaling and growing the business.

  • Excellent communication skills with a structured and organized approach to problem-solving and project management.

  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

  • Strong negotiation skills, prioritizing the creation of mutually beneficial partnerships.
