Marketing Automation Manager

About Us

Union.ai is a Seattle-based startup founded by a team of former Lyft engineers.  We contribute to Flyte,  an open source platform for orchestrating massively scalable machine learning pipelines running on Kubernetes. 

These pipelines power some of the most popular apps on your phone, as well as applications in diverse industries such as song sharing, vaccine research, early cancer detection, global map rendering, financial projecting, and piloting autonomous vehicles.

The Opportunity:

Bringing our technical community together at events is core to the work we do here at Union.ai. Reporting into our CMO, this individual will own our event strategy across all of our product offerings as they work to raise awareness and generate engagement and demand across open-source users (Flyte), commercial customers (Union), and integration partners. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience marketing to technical communities on any level, is highly organized, self managed and reliable. 

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels such as search engines, social media, email, and display advertising to increase brand awareness, traffic, and leads

• Collaborate with the customer success team, product team, and sales team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and improve ROI

• Monitor and report on campaign performance, including tracking key metrics, analyzing data, and providing regular reports to stakeholders.

• Manage and optimize website content, landing pages, and user experience to improve conversion rates.

• Manage and optimize SEO and SEM campaigns to improve search engine rankings and drive traffic to the website

• Manage and grow our social media presence, including developing content and engagement strategies across various platforms.

• Engage with the Flyte and Union communities and stakeholders with the goal of promoting and securing speakers and presenters for events and other engagements

• Implement and manage the onboarding process for new community members and contributors to the Flyte open-source project

• Expand, plan, organize, direct, supervise, and promote all open-source and professional community events and conferences

• Develop highly engaged, mutually beneficial reference relationships, collaboration opportunities, activities, and incentives for partner businesses and senior-level uses/customers

• Demonstrate comfortability working across multiple platforms: website, email, mailing list, Github repos, GitHub Discussions, Slack, Twitter, etc.

   

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful campaigns across various channels

• Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools, and techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and display advertising

• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Google Analytics

• You have previous experience in a similar role supporting technical communities (ideally in data science, machine learning, or data orchestration), where you have planned and executed community events

• You are most excited when you have extreme ownership around how a process is ran or implemented 

• You dislike the status quo and constantly look for ways you can improve upon the craft of your work
