We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Program Manager and help with leadership, scheduling, oversight, and coordination for a program providing leading-edge technology solutions and advisory service solutions to our customers.

This position will be remote, but the candidates must occasionally be able to attend meetings in the Bethesda and Rockville, MD area as needed. Qualified candidates must have or can attain a Public Trust clearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will provide project management oversight of a myriad of tasks supporting the FDA program. Sound leadership and information technology project management skills are necessary for success. The selected candidate will lead various teams and provide them consultation on the processes and expectations to transition their products to production as appropriate. Workload scheduling and tracking of these projects and resources are essential items to be controlled by the Project Manager.  Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively leading technical professionals with the ability to detect and capitalize team strengths
  • Planning ahead for upcoming software releases with continuous improvement
  • Assigning staff and providing technical direction as necessary to complete task
  • Communicating effectively with the client and internal management team on a regular basis
  • Providing comprehensive periodic management reports to the customer and program manager
  • Instrumental in recruiting, staffing, and onboarding technical resources
  • Managing budget and spend plans

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience on an IT Development project with at least 5 or more members
  • Knowledge in the use and management of Microsoft Project and Kanban software
  • Forethought, with the capacity to identify, minimize and manage risks
  • Knowledge and experience with software development lifecycle and processes
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Experience working with Jira
  • Proven ability to facilitate and run exceptional meetings
  • Experience conducting client management activities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills; demonstrable team-building skills, proven leadership ability

Desired Skills

  • PMI certified Project Management Professional desired
  • Government contract work desired
  • Knowledge of or experience in CMMI Level 3 processes
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in ITIL v3 Foundation processes
  • Business development acumen
